sixty years of colour

Anyone who knows me knows I have a little bit of an obsession with the HRH Queen Elizabeth II. For years I have been meaning to start my illustration project focused on the Queen's hats, but I think I may have missed the boat as lots of others have been charting the Queen's sixty year fashion story. Two of my favorites were the colour chart put together by Vogue (above) last month and also the colour swatch card put together by Leo Burnett and Pantone. (thanks to @PollyAnders for showing me the swatch card!)

You can read more about the swatch card on Yatzer.

  1. Wow, these are great! I've just seen your fantastic palindrome illustrations in the latest edition of Anorak too.

  2. What a great way to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. The Vogue poster and Pantone color set are so charming with the queen's outfits on them. Lovely!

  3. Both of those are amazing! It's crazy to see how many different colors and shades she's worn.

  4. The Queen really is a huge inspiration to me - I have heard that she hates beige!
