Amelia's House for Shelter

photos courtesy of Amelia Gregory

I was asked by Amelia Gregory of Amelia's Magazine to help out on a very special house! Me and 5 other 'amelia's' illustrators (Thereza Rowe (first floor right) Emma Block (first floor middle) Antonia Parker (first floor left) Natsuki Otani (ground floor left) and Yelena Bryksenvova (ground floor right) all collaborated on a piece of work for Shelter's 'Up My Street' exhibition.

I put my architectural skills to work (watch out Grand Designs!) as myself and Amelia designed the layout of the house. I then illustrated the attic, the roof and the front door.

The 'Up My Street' exhibition takes place at the Coningsby Gallery in the West End of London and features amazing artists such as Julian Opie, Grayson Perry, Anthony Gormley, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Giles Deacon, Bob and Roberta Smith and Miles Aldridge. We were all delighted that our 'house' has been used on the Shelter website and was also featured in the Metro newspaper!

There is a silent auction tonight....fingers crossed our house raises lots of money and finds a happy home too!
