Could you tell me who is the author of the first illustration in the book - the one with the sleeping beauty? I'd be forever grateful.I think it's the same one as for the candy house illustration you featured.(I'm loving the blog, by the way :) .)
Hi Ana!the illustrations are colour lithographs by Hebert Leupin and were done in 1948 ( I actually thought when I saw them first they must be modern...they look so fresh!)
Oh, sorry, I meant the other one; this one.But indeed, the one that you mention is very modern - had you not told me it was from 1948 I would have thought it was one of the 'new talents' their site mentions. Just... Wow :o !

The sleeping Beauty illustration is by Kay Nielson from 1925
Another 'wow' is in order since I thought these were only done in style of Kay Nielsen, but by a modern illustrator - the colours are so vivid!Thank you again :) .
